Termite Protection For Your Home Or Business

Eastern subterranean termites, found in our area, are social insects that live in colonies underground. These insects work underground and can cause severe damage to your home or business over time. Masters Touch Pest Solutions can treat and protect your West Chester home or business from these destructive, wood-destroying pests.

Destruction Over Time

If you have a subterranean termite problem currently, you might not even be aware of it. Termites will work for years under your house and within your walls without being detected. After some time, the damage can reach into the thousands on average. That’s why noticing signs early on is so important, but these can be very difficult to detect on your own.

If you notice signs like mud tubes on the foundation walls, shed wings of termite swarmers, or damage to exposed wood, then it’s time to enlist professional help. There is nothing you can do to stop current termite activity on your own that will get rid of the entire infestation for good.

There are, however, ways you can avoid an infestation in your home. By reducing your moisture buildup, replacing moisture-damaged wood immediately, and storing any woodpiles away from the house and off the ground, you can reduce your chances of an infestation.

Get Termite Control You Can Count On

We start by scheduling a certified inspector to perform a thorough interior and exterior inspection of your building. Treatment recommendations are made based on findings and may include a liquid, bait, or a combination service.

Free Inspection

Our office will schedule a free inspection with a certified professional to firsthand identify your termite infestation. A visual evaluation to key areas such as the foundation, basement, and garage will be done. We will present the best treatment options for your situation.

Liquid Treatment

Certified technicians using Termidor® HE will treat the entire perimeter of the building, creating a continuous barrier of protection that will kill or prevent termites from moving through it. It is applied by injecting the termiticide in soil close to the building, and/or through drilling of concrete to reach the soil below. One or five-year renewable and transferable warranties are provided with treatment.

Advance Termite Baiting

When alternative treatments are needed, we offer the Trelona® Advance Termite Baiting System. This termite baiting system eliminates current infestations and prevents future ones by using baited stations strategically placed in the ground around the perimeter of the building. The stations have a built-in safety lock and are accessible only with a key.

The Advance Termite Bait System with Trelona® is the latest advancement in termite bait technology via a dual-stage process that features an ultra-low disturbance design to pattern termite's natural feeding behavior, leading to enhanced colony elimination.

We will return in approximately 120 days to inspect and maintain the stations as needed then yearly thereafter. One or five-year renewable and transferable warranties are provided with treatment.

Termite Service Plan

Consider a Termite Service plan to warranty your home against the threat of a termite infestation. An inspection is required to qualify for this service warranty. Call our office to schedule a visit with a certified inspector today!

Common Questions About Termites

What do termites look like?

A swarming termite is identified by a cigar-shaped body and equal-length wings. A winged ant has a pinched waist with unequal lengths.

What are signs of a termite infestation?

Possible signs of a termite infestation are a termite swarm, shed wings, mud tunnels on foundation walls, damage to exposed wood, peeling paint on inside walls, or small pin holes in drywall.

What damage do termites cause?

Damage from termites usually is from years of infestation and can affect the structural integrity of a building. Wood that appears rotten with hollowed-out passages may be evidence of a long-term infestation.

When do termites appear?

Termite swarms often occur February-June, sometimes after a rain. Since the colony is underground, it is active year-round and may go unnoticed for years.

Can I prevent a termite infestation?

Modifying conditions so termites can not flourish may reduce the chance of an infestation. Storing wood piles away from the home, using non-cellulose or pressure-treated lumber, reduce soil moisture with adequate drainage away from the home, calk foundation cracks and voids.
